Our Horses
Celestial’s Dream Spirit aka “Buck”
Buck is an 11-year-old flea-bitten grey Quarter Horse gelding. He loves trail rides and going out of the arena, but he does enjoy arena work too. He really loves cross-country jumping and isn’t for the fainthearted riders as he gets very excited when he knows it’s time for cross-country. Before he was purchased in early 2020, he was primarily a western horse. Sarah and Mark own Buck and he is Sarah’s main horse for riding and trails.
Celestial’s Wings of Destiny aka “Reno”
Reno is an 18-year-old sorrel Quarter Horse. He is as sweet as they come though can be a little shy at first. He loves working and all aspects of eventing. He has jumped up to 3’3” before and has very nice, comfortable gaits. Reno is great for taking intermediate to advanced students to shows and getting them show experience. Reno is Mark Hendrikse’s main horse for riding and trails.
Celestial’s Duchess of Dreams aka “Savannah”
Savannah is an 9-year-old Quarter Horse Haflinger cross with tons of personality! Savannah loves all of her new friends in and out of the arena. Make sure to give this sweet girl a kiss next time you are at the barn. She is one of the main lesson horses for beginner-advanced. She can be a little fiesty and is great at teaching students to learn how to use their rider aids. She is owned by Sarah Banks and Mark Hendrikse. She may be available for a partial lease, if interested please contact Sarah by email or text.
Celestial’s Magnolia Dreams aka “River”
River came to our program at the beginning of March 2021. She is a 10-year-old flea bitten grey Quarter Horse owned by Sarah Banks & Mark Hendrikse. River has competed now in many 3-phase events and has recently started schooling Tadpole level. River especially loves cross-country! She is in the lesson program for beginners-advanced. All of her gaits are very smooth and she is the sweetest mare.
Celestial’s Fifty Fifty Van Den Hoenrikshoeve “Franklin”
Franklin is an 18 year old 16.3hh Belgian Warmblood. He has a lot of tricks up his sleeve and is a pleasure to ride. He used to jump pretty high in his younger days. Frankie gets along with everyone and is a sweet gentle giant.
Celestial’s World Titan aka “Atlas”
Atlas came to our program in January 2023. He is an 11-year-old paint Grade Horse owned by Sarah Banks & Mark Hendrikse. Atlas has recently completed his first off-property cross-country schooling and was great. He has a great temperament and is one of our most gentle, calm horses. Atlas does have a big forward gait, however, so he is not quite ready for our beginner riders to ride him yet. Be sure to give him some attention when you see him!
Celestial’s Black Bess aka “Bess”
Bess is a 17hh 17-year-old registered Canadian Thoroughbred who came to us in March 2023 with a background in Dressage. She is one of the sweetest horses on the farm and we look forward to working with her and getting her back into shape.
“Joey”
Joey is a 13 year old 16.1hh Holsteiner that came to us in March 2023. He is a big goofy horse that is primarily used for adults and advanced teenagers. He had an injury that bars him from jumping, but he is well-trained and fun to ride for flatwork, poles, and dressage.
Celestial’s Lunar Eclipse “Luna”
Luna is a 16 year old Warmblood. She is currently getting back in shape and will be used for beginner-intermediate lessons through Intro dressage. Luna is very sweet with people and easy to ride. She loves getting attention and treats.
Celestial’s Cartier “Shrimp”
Shrimp is a 23 year old Zangersheide who is an ex-Grand Prix jumper and did some time as a Hunter too. He is already a barn favorite and everyone loves him!
