Calendar Updated for 2022
The Celestial calendar has been updated for the year 2022 with shows, equestrian team meetings, saddle club meetings, and camps. These dates are subject to change as other dates come out, etc. We plan to also try to add on a few hunter paces throughout the year as those are announced, and trail rides off property for the advanced students (must be able to walk/ trot/ canter/ gallop comfortably. Andrea is also back from college and will be helping out around the farm and with lessons. We are looking forward to an exciting year!
Chatt Hills Show
Congrats to Amber Wix on Buck, Jade Bowker on Indigo, Destiny Adams on River, and Lauren Rousell on Saphron for having a successful three-phase show at Chatt Hills last weekend! It was River’s first time out to any show since we got her 4 months ago and she did much better than we even expected! It was also Jade’s first three-phase show and Indigo’s first time to Chatt Hills! Great job everyone!

Announcements
I have two announcements to share with you! First I would like to say congratulations to our riders who competed in the show at the International Horse Park on Saturday! From waking up and being at the barn by 4:30AM to riding in the pouring rain all morning, our riders showed how dedicated they are.

Second, May is a busy month for Celestial!
We are taking sign ups for the following events, please register ASAP as spots are limited and some are already taken!
May 8th- Saddle Club
May 15th- Ashland Horse Show- Celestial Fees will be $196.50 ($87.50 Trailering, $25 horse usage, $4 hay, $80 coaching, plus entry fees)
May 22nd- Dressage and Show Jumping Clinic for our Monthly Equestrian Team Meeting. See pricing below and please let me know which option you prefer. I suggest the two person semi-private or the one hour private would be the best options!
$90 for one hour private
$75 for two person semi-private hour
$65 for three person group
May 31st- June 4th- Our first summer camp for all levels. We encourage students to sign up for a day of camp in place of their regular weekly riding lesson if possible. We may be able to do some early morning lessons before it gets hot this summer during camp, otherwise we will probably be moving regular lesson times to later in the evening when it is cooler once the temperature gets too hot for mid afternoon lessons.
We have two intermediate camps and an advanced camp available for registrations on vagaro too. Sign up early for these as space is limited!
I will be out of town May 16th- May 22nd. Brooke will be covering my lessons that week, except she will be at a recognized horse trial that Friday so all Friday lessons that week will need to be rescheduled. If you would like to reschedule and do an extra lesson with me the week before or week after, we can do that too depending on availability. Please let me know ASAP on this, along with anyone with a Friday lesson time that week (I will also reach out to the Friday students).

You will see a ‘Events” tab with an arrow, at the top of your screen. Hover your mouse over the ‘Events’ tab. A drop down will appear with “2021 Lesson Shows”, “2021 Schooling Shows’, and “Summer Camp”, hover your mouse over “2021 Schooling Shows”. You will see a list tabs named “Shows” and “Final Results”. Hover your mouse over “Shows”. A list of shows will appear, click on “Saturday, May 01”.
Scroll down and click on “Register Online”.
Fill out the show entry.
*For the farm name put Celestial Riding Academy.
Note: Please have your 2021 Foxberry Rider Release and the 2021 GDCTA Hold Harmless Release filled out. If you cannot submit them with you show entry, you can drop the off at the office when you check in. I will email a copy of each horses’ coggins so there is no need to include it in your entry.
Please make sure to bring a mask!!

May 1st- Foxberry Show in Dallas (4 spots already taken, 1 more available plus I can start a wait list if there is interest and see about finding another trailer too)
May 8th- Saddle Club Meeting
May 17th- Ashland CT Show in Covington (1-2 spots already taken, 3-4 spots more available, and can start a wait list if needed and look for another trailer)
May 22nd- Equestrian Team Meeting- This will actually be a Dressage and Show Jumping Clinic at the farm taught by Beth and Ashley (who used to teach at GR too)
If anyone wants the fees breakdown, please let me know! The trailering fees are TBD until I get final numbers but I can give a rough estimate on any of them.

Camping Trip
Had a great time camping trip Thursday through Sunday. Thank you to everyone who made this trip possible. More pictures to come.
Saturday’s Show Results
Congratulations to the Celestial students who competed at North Atlanta last weekend.
Anna-Kay and Lula placed seventh in their Intro A dressage test and eleventh in their Intro B test. This was also Lula’s first show!
Lillian and Journey who got first in their Pre Amobea CT and in their Amobea CT Stadium. Also placed sixth in their Intro A dressage test and eighth in their Intro B test.
Andrea and Indigo placed second in their Amoeba 3 phase.
Destiney and Buck who placed second in their Tadpole 3 phase.
Erin and Dry Creek Daisy who placed third in their Tadpole 3 phase.
Congratulations to everyone who competed. We are all so very proud of all the hard work you put into preparing for these shows.
Thank you to all the parents, volunteers, and show organizers for a great day of learning experiences.
Updates!!
We have some updates to share with you. First, we would like to inform you that he have moved the dates for the Equestrian Team meeting and Saddle Club. Both of these will take place October 31, 2020. We have also added a costume contest and parade, this will also take place October 31, 2020. The Equestrian Team meeting will start at 9:00 am and end at 12:00 pm, Saddle Club will start at 12:00 pm and end at 3:00 pm, and the Costume Contest and Parade will also start at 12:00 pm but will end at 1:00 pm.
We also have some new events taking place that I would like to tell you about. The first new event we have added to the calendar is the Fall Camp. This camp will take place November 23rd all the way through November 25th. The next added event is the Winter Camp. This camp will occur December 21st all the way through December 23rd. More details will be shared soon.
I would also like to announce that we have a new addition to the barn! His name is Atticus, you can get to know Atticus a little bit more under the “Horses” tab.
Scheduled Move
It all begins with an idea.
We are scheduled to move to our new home on August 22nd, 2020! Teresa will be taking us over there so we can get everything set up. The first week of the 24th we will only be doing a few lessons, and lessons will officially start on August 31st the following week. Thomas has started on the riding arena and is bringing in sand soon for the round pen.
